The Swedish king and Turkish president visit AAC Microtec

ÅAC Microtec had distinguished guests today. During the first ever Turkish state visit to Sweden one of the items on the agenda was a visit to the successful Uppsala-based space company.

As a part of the Turkish president Abdullah Gül’s state visit to Sweden he and his host His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf visited the Uppsala-based company ÅAC Microtec. The Turkish president wished to see a high-tech company active in the space industry, and ÅAC Microtec was chosen.  

ÅAC Microtec develops, manufactures and markets robust multifunctional electronics systems for aerospace and industrial applications. Thekingsmall company offers cost-effective satellite systems based on Rapid Integration Architecture (RIA), which revolutionizes the way small satellites can be built. Among other things, ÅAC Microtec delivered all the electronics to NASA’s test satellite TechEdSat, which was released from the International Space Station ISS in October 2012.
